Privacy Policy

Dspatch ("we", "us") is a secure delivery service in Nigeria run by Hustle 360 LTD. This policy explains what we collect when you use the Dspatch app, the Dspatch Rider app or dspatch.app, why, who we share it with, and your rights under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. Questions: [email protected].
What we collect
If you book deliveries
- Your name, phone number, email address and password (stored scrambled; we can't read it).
- Delivery details: pickup and drop-off addresses and map pins, the names and phone numbers of the sender and recipient, what you're sending, its value if you give one, notes for the rider, and order references for "Pick up for me".
- Your current location, only when you tap "Use my current location" or the map. We don't track customers.
- Payment status and references. Card, bank and USSD details go straight to Flutterwave; we never see or store them.
If you ride for Dspatch
- Your NIN, checked with iCheck. We keep your name as it appears on your NIN, the photo NIMC returns, and a one-way scrambled copy of the NIN (so the same NIN can't sign up twice); we don't store the NIN itself.
- Your phone number, email, city, vehicle type and plate, licence and vehicle papers, selfies, and your guarantor's name, phone number and relationship to you.
- Your location while you're online for jobs and while you're carrying a parcel, including when the app is in the background, plus battery level, GPS accuracy and whether the location looks faked. This is how customers and our team follow a delivery and how we know you're safe. We don't collect it when you're offline.
- Your phone's device ID, so your account works on one phone.
Proof of every delivery
- The pickup and drop-off codes, timestamps and places, the rider's selfie, photos of the parcel, receipt and handover, and any refused attempt (wrong code, too far from the pin). This is the delivery's chain of custody.
Automatically: basic technical logs (IP address, browser or app version) to keep the service secure and working.
How we use it
- To price, match, run and track your deliveries, and to show both sides who they're dealing with.
- To verify riders' identity and keep riders, customers and parcels safe.
- To take payments, give refunds and settle disputes, using the delivery's proof.
- To send you sign-in codes, receipts, delivery codes and tracking links.
- To detect fraud, fake GPS and misuse, and to meet legal obligations.
We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for third-party advertising.
Who sees it
- Your rider sees the names, phone numbers and addresses needed to do the delivery, and the store order reference until pickup.
- Customers see their rider's name, photo, vehicle and plate, and live location during their delivery. Tracking links never show the codes.
- Our operations team, to run deliveries, approve riders and handle incidents.
- Service providers who work for us: iCheck (identity and face checks), Flutterwave (payments), Brevo (email), DigitalOcean (hosting and secure storage of photos and documents), and the map and address-search services (OpenStreetMap/Photon or Google). They only get what they need for that job.
- iCheck, for riders' work history. Once a rider is approved, their Dspatch job (role, start date, city, and the end date if they stop) is added to their iCheck profile as verified work, so it counts on their iCheck record. Riders can turn this off in the app at any time; the job then shows as ended.
- People a rider chooses to share their record with (another app, a landlord): their first name and initial, trust score, ratings, deliveries completed and ID checks, through a link the rider creates and can withdraw. Never their phone, NIN or address.
- Authorities, when the law requires it or to protect someone's safety.
How long we keep it
We keep your account while you use Dspatch. Delivery records and their proof are kept as long as we need them for refunds, disputes, safety and our legal and tax obligations. Rider documents are kept while the rider account exists and for as long afterwards as needed for those same reasons. Then we delete or anonymise them.
Keeping it safe
Data travels encrypted (HTTPS). Photos and documents are stored privately and are only viewable by our team and the people in that delivery. Passwords and NINs are stored scrambled, and access inside Dspatch is limited to people who need it.
Your rights, and deleting your account
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for something. To delete your Dspatch or Dspatch Rider account, email [email protected] from the email on your account (or tell us your phone number). We'll confirm it's you and delete your account within 30 days. Records we must keep by law, or that are needed for an open payment, refund or dispute, are kept only as long as required.
If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (ndpc.gov.ng).
Children
Dspatch is for people 18 and over. Riders must be 18 or older.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above, and tell you in the app or by email if the change is significant.
